Don’t think the timeline works for that Myers trade. His $5 million is owed in the off season, it will be after the buyout window for Zeitsev at that point. Unless one the Canucks RFA’s filed for arbitration, which seems pretty unlikely since they have very few who even have arb rights, They won’t get another window to be able to buy out Zaitsev

I think Canucks fans like Johnson cause he is a middle 6 scoring centre, something we desperately need. Plus, he has the least value of all Tampa forwards, so we can pretend Tampa would trade Cernak if it means getting rid of Johnson. Let us dream lol

Fair. I think Johnson with a set roll would actually flourish. He gets bandied around the Tampa lineup every game by the time he gets settled he's in a different roll.
