Saying Edmonton gets to keep RNH and Barrie isn't really an issue. Easily enough cap to do that if they want and Neal buyout is 1.9M no where near worth trading Bear.

This. It’s ridiculous that people think a guy in a down year has a 30pt season prorated for a full season.

Neals buyout is pretty pedestrian & Bear is the best two-way defender on the team.

To be fair his play sucked for a bit and he looked out of sorts but I'd say that was really down to him playing in a secondary role for him as well, when we all (Avs fans at least) know he's not really a centre but rather a wing. Hopefully that 'experiment' (necessity?) is done with now and we'll only ever see him at C in emergency from now on. However, if it weren't for the covid cap situation nobody would even be talking about his contract. Is he moveable? Absolutely. Is he a cap dump? Hell no!

I suspect we will see him C tomorrow after the Kadri suspension is announced.
