It’s not that the value of this deal is off, but sharks are stacked at LD with Ferraro and Kynzov as their 1-2 LD with Simek and Vlasic as their 3/4 LD with Middleton and pashinuyk in the minors but close to being NHL ready. What we need is center depth, goalie, RD.

I'd be okay with the Sharks getting Niku for Gambrell. We're honestly planning for Gambrell to be Seattle bait anyway (maybe as part of a package for them to take Burns), and our team has struggled in the blueline with Vlasic declining from father time and EK65 not meeting expectations. As Barabanov and E. Kane prove, a change of scenery can be the making of someone's career so Niku would be worth a low-risk shot like that.

You have got to be kidding. Copp, demelo, and Stanley just had an excellent series. Appleton was good but come on, those other guys were awesome. I’d rather lose appleton than those guys. And dumba is not needed. We need a guy like larsson

Andrew cop doesn't get you dumba at all. Andrew copp having 1 good season doesn't mean anything

Wide have zero need, or want for Logan who won't play on wild d

Also wild aren't going to trade their hated division rival dumba, a good young d for trash back unless it's an overpayment

Copp has been defensively elite for far more than one season. This is just finally the first year his offense has caught up. He's on par with Ek as is.

This is already a pretty notable overpayment. I'm not even a jets fan and know that this is a ripe return.

I struggle to see a long term fit for Stanley. I watched today's game and he looked somewhat shaky back there. A few notable turnovers. Not to say this game is an end all, but I just don't see him as the long term solution. Heinola, Samberg and Chisholm seem like more likely long term options in WPG.

Copp can stay, but he's the best option to lure defensive partners in trade. I think Larsson will re-up in edmonton. Not many high end defenseman remaining. I nearly moved this same package for Severson. He seems less likely to be dangled though.

Niku can play both LD and RD, he's just a left shot. Usually plays RD

Wild d core is stacked Logan Stanley unless there's an injury

3rd round pick doesn't mean anything

So wild won't be trading dumba straight up for copp. Copp is a free agent, or restricted needing to get paid, & dumba is not

Copp isn't even better than Joel Eriksson Ek.

Stanley would replace Soucy, who is almost for certain the Kraken's claim if this trade happens. the 7-3-1 should make Soucy (or a goaltender) obvious. Let's just assume Soucy. Stanley is easily a 3rd pair on MIN in this situation.

Copp is used a lot less out there then Ek. When he is out there, they p lay a similar game and both do it well.

I can up the pick a round. I may have factored a bit too much ED value loss.

Wild are only planning to lose one of dumba, or soucy

    So respectfully, no he won't

    Jared spurgeon, Ryan suter
    Dumba, Jonas Brodin
    Calen Addison, Ian Cole

So wild actually has zero room for him. He will only play in emergency

Before you say it, yes ian Cole is free agent but he's coming back

Stanley is a rookie, but he looks good and has potential. Id keep him for now and see what he can be. As for getting a d, there’s other options including cernak, Manson, savard, etc.

Don’t hate it but I’d argue Gambrell has more value than Niku.

Honestly I'd rather have Stanley then Dumba.
