If Holland goes anything less than sicko mode this offseason he would have failed. I'd like to see him go all out and get grubauer who would help immensely. I think he brings Smitty back as a backup. That would be a killer tandem.

So you're going with the same tandem in goal? That won't work.

Until Koskinen is gone there's not much money to fix it. Grubauer will be hard to get in this market and there aren't any other suitors unless you want Rittich. Their biggest need is finding competent second and third liners. This does that.

RNH doesn't want to stay and it would be good for them to just move on. Danault is a genuine shutdown centre who can go against top lines, Wennberg is a scoring middle-six centre. Dzingel and Coleman bring middle-six scoring and energy. Danault is a better player than RNH and he would cost less because he didn't get points in MTL.

But you also have more depth in Coleman etc. Nuge is 28 and might want a big contract and is he ever going to give you more than, maybe 60 points a year?



Don't think goaltending let them down. Maybe Koskinen but Smith was great for them. Lack of depth let them down this year.

Keep coleman, i have no issues with him, didn't mention him in my comment, i was talking about the other two third liners. I mean with wenneberg and dzingle combined won't get you much more than 60 points either. I'd rather take nuge and a rookie like holloway or lavoie than wenneberg and dzingle.
