If Weber retires I think MTL should target Dougie Hamilton, whatever the price. I think he's gonna ask for more money than that, rightfully so.

You are about 5 million short on that Hamilton contract. He is looking for double digits.

Dougie will for sure get more money and I think you should trade drouin and use that $5.5 mil on paying Dougie more money and Signing a solid LW to a short term deal

There's no official information about that, It's just a "what if". Although, he slowed down considerably this year and had injuries. It smells like the end's coming for the big Shea.

I guess I'm a bit late here, but your missing something monumental. Weber has SEVERE cap recapture penalties for BOTH MTL and NSH if that happens. I haven't done the math recently, but its like $5M - $6M bucks...per year

The CBA was amended for Parise and Suter in 2020, but it wasn't touched for Weber, which means at this point the risk is 100% on NSH's side from 2023. Before that, the recapture form Montreal is very small.
