For the Wild, I am fine with what you are asking for, but this leaves us little room to sign Erikkson Ek, Fiala and Kaprizov at the prices that they want. Additionally, we would not have any money to sign free agents(unless we give up Dumba in the draft and we don't want that). This then leaves us with little room to do anything, so we would probably decline the trade at that price. Maybe try adding in parise or a player that is more equal to Malkin's contract.

of course your fine Malkin is worth 10 times that garbage return. I know you didn't propose this but the only thing this fixes is the top overall pick for the pens next year. Doesn't even address there biggest need a goalie. Not one of those trades is even close to fair on the Pens Side.

That is so overblown and wrong. We have the same access to LTIR and Buyouts just like every other team. The GM even came out and said two weeks back we don't have cap issues it is media generated. He said they have no idea of what has been discussed behind closed doors.

Our media is fantastic for generating panic and fear.

I don't know your exact cap situation but buyouts don't relieve you of cap lessen the hit but spread in out over years and LTIR doesn't help like people seem to think. unless the guy misses entire season like in Tampa.

They have lots of cap space next year and only one top RFA to sign. Seriously this cap issue is way overblown and not a major problem at all

Holland would laugh pretty hard at that trade request. JP had better production for 1/4 of the cost and is 6 years younger. A 2nd does not even that out remotely.
