I can't see NSH trading Carrier and that contract after the way he's played the second half of this season and playoffs. Coaching clearly likes what they see more in Carrier than Fabbro this season, so it's safe to say NSH will do whatever they can to keep Carrier on the team for next season (could be tough with expansion though).

For the Oilers it would all depend on Drouin's health. If he's going to be ready to go next year, for sure I do that deal. If he's for sure going to be LTIR'd for the rest of his contract, that's still doable. for the cap savings. Anywhere in between and it's just pure cap uncertainty that the team couldn't afford.

Haven't watched much of mtl this year but how is Kulak? His WAR numbers are pretty good
