Why would he not want to come to a better team? Detroit is garbage, Toronto is good. I don't disagree that he won't come back, but what is the reasoning for him staying in Detroit over Toronto? Just curious.

Bernier has recently said he wants to re-sign with Detroit. Wants to be part of the rebuild. He says his family likes living there. Well the suburbs I'm guessing. Why would he sign with the Leafs? They scapegoated and ran him out of town. He'll get most of the starts in Detroit. Campbell is the Leafs goalie now.

Reimer on paper would be a totally fine option. Since 2016/2017 his first full season away from the Leafs there have been 60 goalies who have played 80 GP (so roughly a starter and back up for each team).

The save percentage spread is the best is 0.921 and the worse is 0.897

Reimer is almost dead center at a tie for 31-36 with a 0.911.

He's a 1b goaltender.

(Also Korpisalo is so overrated from one good playoff run, he's tied for 57th with a 0.901). Also Andy is a 19th with a 0.914 and Price has a 0.912
