The only way Sabres get Rossi is to give Eichel. A combo of Olofsson/Reinhart does not cut it. I also doubt Sabres want him. They literally picked his teammate before him.

The trade for Eichel isn't terrible but I don't see him going to Anaheim without at least 1 of Zegras or Drysdale going the other way so switch one of those prospects out for 1 of them.

Ok i'll just work with the Seattle piece here. Buffalo will give up one player to Seattle it will probably be Colin Miller. If you like the rest of the Sabre fan base want Eakin gone the Sabres simply need to buy him out and take the 500,000 cap hit this season. Simple as that. No need to give Seattle a free 3rd round pick.

As for the Ristolainen trade, Buffalo already has draft picks we don't need them back. Trade Ristolainen for Korposolo and a gritty 3/4 line player like Boone Jenner to even out the salary exchange then give them either Girgensons or a pick in return to even the trade out. Both Korposolo, Risto, and Jenner have 1 year left on their deals basically both sides get to test drive these pieces and give them deals if it works out.

Anaheim isn't getting Eichel without one of Zegras or Drysdale, Minnesota isn't giving up Rossi for Reinhart. And you're seriously delusional if you think you're getting the #1, #2 and #9 pick Detroit will take Jesper Wallstedt with their #7 pick more then likely.

Korpi-for-Risto is a workable concept, but Jenner isn't a throw-in for us; he's a valuable leader on the team, and one of our few defensively competent centers. Girgensons wouldn't really make up for that loss.

I agree 100% on Jenner i know he isnt a throw in hes one of my favorite players from the Blue Jackets. I targeted him thinking on an expiring contract given that a right handed defenseman is far more valuable than a goalie but, that may just be my opinion and not actual market value. Thoughts?
