Value's fair, but how would TOR media react if they're paying 11mil to a 3rd line center? The pressure on such a constructed team would make even Gretzky crack.

TOR does need to trade Marner as the odd man out of all the big contracts there. Trade him to SJ for Meier and Labanc or another team for a similar package. Maybe Marner and a 1st (because of the heavy contract) to CLB for Roslavic Seth Jones and a 3rd.

Yes! The Leafs, being a division rival, would need fo beat out every non-divisional offer and would most likely be a massive overpay
