Funny how you said "need changes" and then you sign some many UFA Leafs that shouldn't be Leafs or maybe not even the NHL next season.
Nice that you traded for three CBJ...who don't make the playoffs and are near UFA status.

We have the cap space and he would be perfect flanking laine on the off side. I don’t think we need retention especially if you think about it we’re trading 3 (rentals for cbj for marner). We’d find a center elsewhere.

your trading 3 rentals for probably one of the worst contracts in the league. He's not panarin.

I agree he’s not panarin but I think he would create a lot of open room for laine.

and at 11 million per, you are vastly over paying for it and burdening the team. He's not worth that contract. Not even close. About 6 mil of it. You just don't take on those kinds of bad contracts. Hell you take him out of that team, and I bet the production drops like a rock. He's got a lot of help there to rack up 80% apples.
