Islanders trade Pulock + Sorokin for Marner.
Eberle sent to Seattle in exchange for Ladd being selected in expansion draft.
Re-sign some key RFA's, Cizikas and sign Oleksiak and Ceci for the bottom pairing.

    If i were to trade marner to NYI i would want Sorokin+, and this fits that, but i say add a 2nd+5th or a 1st

    I think another piece would have to be added for Dubas to part with Marner.

    But I think you are criminally underrating Sorokin and Pulock.

    You are definitely right that Marner is worth more. That said given the cap situation I think this would be borderline fair. Marner is the best piece, but Pulock is a realtively cheap top pairing defensemen and Sorokin can be one of the better goalies in the league IMO. So while the picks being added would level it out, I left them out as I was looking more big picture and trying to take into account the flat cap.

    He is a RFA, so I think the flat cap will lower what he gets slightly. That said, I could see us allowing him to get to UFA more quickly and lower the deal to 3 years.

    HAHAHHA. You think the Isles are trading a #1 Dman and Potential Superstar that could rival Tampa goaltending one day, this trade is a joke. get the hell out of here with this. Marner is a choker in the playoffs anyway not a fit for Isles. Now if you want to trade Nylander for Mayfield a first , Bellows and Bolduc than the Isles would listen
