Why would the Rangers retain $2.4 million of DeAngelos contract and give up a fourth round pick for a seventh round pick? Buying his contract out will only cost them $383K in year one and and $883k in year two. I agree with the above that neither Kreider nor Trouba would waive their NMC.

You want to trade Shesterkin for a soft, skilled winger, which we have already coming out of our ears? Really? A young goalie with the potential to be as good as or better than Hank for another soft winger that can't score in the playoffs. Thank God you're not the Rangers GM.
