As a bruins fan as much as i would enjoy a morgan reilly and mcavoy D pairing (Just imagine the offensive production them with the perfection lineawesome face ) I just don't see toronto trading one of their top players to bruins who's rivalry has intesified in recent years and also because they play in the same division(assuming the league goes back to normal next season)

Lol no. Heck no from Buffalo. Cozens won't be involved in a deal for a massively overpaid winger.

i agree seems like cozens, mittlestadt and dahlin are their new buiding blocks. assuming reinhart, olofsson, eichel and ristolainen are traded. Maybe they get Beniers in the draft and then Cozens and Beniers are the 1-2 center core for the future and i think middlestadt would move to the wing

I keep seeing Rielly to Boston. I do not see it happening. Yes, Boston could use him. The Values are usually fine, but it is just never going to happen. They will presumably be in the same division next year. Only way these teams trade is if one of them is in the lottery.

Also - what is the thinking in Keeping Brodie, Muzzin or Martinez over Rielly? I know he didn't have a great year/playoff, but two years ago he was a serious Norris candidate.

Maybe im the only one, mittelstadt is nowhere near the core for me. I see a guy that put up some points in an extended role on a terrible team. Cozens and dahlin are core pieces.

In fairness, is Reilly one of Toronto’s top players anymore? 3 years ago? Sure. I don’t think he is anymore.

true but he is only 27 and if he was to get some time with the perfection line and played with mcavoy and even some pp time with either lines i dont see why he couldnt put up those high numbers again. I dont think he has lot his touch i think his confidence is just down due to all the pressure put on him, matthews, marner, nylander, tavares and all the negative energy coming from the toronto fans every time they loose in playoffs

Alright, first things first, can we retire the “perfection line,” its so nauseating.

Reilly was just playing with the Richard winner, and you’re saying that his issue is getting on the ice with better players? The bruins can put grzelcyk with mcavoy and have a fantastic top pair. No need to go shopping for a minor upgrade (if it even is), at a high price tag.
