. Think what Sutter would do here. Not you or I. Yeah the Tkachuk trade makes no sense but would Sutter rather have Brady or Matt?

He would rather have Hanifin, hence why he favored Hanifin more than every defense but maybe Tanev. Matt and Brady are basically the same but Matt is kore proven

. Hanifan got better because being pared with Tanev. The flames need to get bigger and stronger. Sutter wants that. Hence brining in Carlo and Brady who is going to be better than Matt. Plus they are different players even though they are brothers.

Hanifin did benefit from Tanev but he got better because he wanted to get better.

I dont think you understand what Sutter's system is. He wants them to be difficult to play agianst, Hanifin creates a lot of offense and is strong defensively, thus makimg him hard to play against. Bigger =/= hard to play against. Otherwise we would trade Gaudreau for Tyler Myers

The flames are not difficult to play against. Not at all, hence why the flames keep losing. I actually don’t think you understand what Sutter’s system is. When he coached LA to two cups and took the flames to the finals, his teams were full of players who were stay at home defenceman, power forwards and excellent goalies. His teams always have been truculent, hard hitting and very disciplined. A low scoring, defensive first system with players who play along the walls effectively and generate chances through the neutral zone. Right now, the flames are none of the above. Sutter will make Treliving change that.
