Tampa Bay should be punished by losing multiple draft picks, much like Arizona, for pulling this stunt. Watching Kucherov and Stamkos miraculously come back from injuries for the start of the playoffs, when the salary cap is turned off, is more than a coincidence.

100% agree with you but how do you enforce it? I know Kucherov was def. hurt with a shoulder which can be tricky, but did he have to miss the whole season?

Maybe you enforce a rule where player has to play x games to qualify for the playoffs?

I'd be shocked if the notorious Philadelphia Flyer Wayne Simmonds signed in Pittsburgh instead of going back to Philly for one last hoorah

You'd have to go back and punish the Blackhawks cause they did a similar thing with Patrick Kane

Yeah I was looking for a cheap gritty guy. I know he played in Philly so maybe ties to Hextall like Carter had. Raffl is also out there.

it's easy, you make the cap count for the playoffs and TB is screwed. Which is how it should have been.

As far as this post. Fake NEWS.
No one knows anything about that injury because no one that does is talking. It will be a long time before anything comes out on that. As is, all we know is surgery went well. You'll know exactly what he had done by how quick he's walking on it.
It's most likely a meniscus. As it involved him twisting on his knee on that hit. That's a tell tale sign. Very rarely is a guy damaging a tendon on that kind of play. A ligament maybe, but that isn't gonna stop a guy from playing, only show him down a year.

I'd be ok with that as well as Malkin is who I prefer to have.

tool there was nothing "miraculous" about it 2 other Lightning players had the same surgery performed by the same surgeon the prior 2 off seasons Point and Gourde. They knew the recovery time and had Kucherov rehab until the last possible minute .
