Flyers crucial offseason

Created by: Toner_
Team: 2021-22 Philadelphia Flyers

Description
The flyers are in a weird spot they don’t have a superstar forward anymore and don’t have a number one D man the case can be made to rebuild for the stacked drafts upcoming after 2021 or trade those valuable picks to go absolutely all in for a cup run I think they’re in a good spot to go all in this offseason and their GM Fletcher isn’t a stranger to being aggressive

Flames decline. Hanifin is the only LD that is gaurenteed to be on our roster next year. Gio and Kylington could be selected and Valimaki could not make the team/be traded

Detroit will take Ghost off your hands but the cost will be higher.

Two 2nds and nothing back will get the deal done.

Kings decline, their team is too soft and if MacDermid isn't going to play minutes regularly they need a 4th liner who makes examples of players who push around the new young Kings.

When did Hanifin become valued by Calgary...didn't they try to trade him for the last two years? Not to mention, that's an insane price to pay for a 2nd pair LHD. Put those assets to Jones or Ellis.

Graves will have to be exposed, so that might not be as far off as people think it could be. You have to factor in the cost to expose your own players too. Flyers wouldn't trade for Dunn, Graves, and Hanifin while having to protect Provorov and Sanheim. And those teams will be looking to trade before the exp draft since they won't be able to protect them(except for Hanifin bc Gio may waive his NMC and threaten retirement if taken).

I like Dunn, but there's zero chance I'm trading Foerster for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he made the NHL next year, since he showed how well he could handle the pros and another year in the juniors wouldn't help him.

I get where you are coming from but I think this trade for Nolan could work out for LA.

It's not a good fit for two reasons. (1) The Kings had several games where young players were hit with dirty/questionable hits and missed games, the response from Kings players was tepid at best. (2) If you replace Lemieux with Nolan on the bottom line (assuming Moore and AA are reupped), the Kings have very few available roster spots (2, if they finally get a free agent top-line player) for young players who need to get looks (Kupari, Thomas, ****emo, Kaliyev, Turcotte, Eyssimont, Frk, Madden)

I am not so sure... we are not even close to winning currently and if you get that many assets (two first rounders) for a guy thats only now stepping into that role.... I would take a long look.
