    1. 2021 3rd round pick (SEA)
    Additional Details:
Seattle offers a 3rd to ensure Johnsson is exposed. NJD accepts, because they need to protect Sharangovich, Pavel Zacha, Miles Wood, Nico Hichier, Bratt, Kuokannen, and maybe Bastian. They take the third and run.

    3. 2021 2nd round pick (CAR)
    Additional Details:
NYI trades Jordan Eberle to the Kraken, in exchange for Alex Nylander, 2 2nd round picks, and them taking Ladd in the expansion draft. This gives NYI enough cap space to keep Palmeri or Zajac, as well as chase someone like Hyman in free agency.

feel like you could get Eberle just for taking on Ladd. 5.5m x2years easily would cost a 1st + to dump. i dont see the islanders getting any value back ... they should be happy just dumping that awful contract

Nope, 11 million in cap space would allow us to keep all of our RFA's, Beau, Sorokin and Pelech as well as re-sign Cizikas and Palmeiri. It's a win in my opinion. Eberle's not as important as some fans would make him seem. Anyone not named Leo can score playing with Barzal.

I think Carolina would rather Seattle take skjei than fast and Hamilton won't be extended until after so they will protect slavin, pesce and whoever between Skjei and Bean

Yeah I don't want to lose Eberle but it's hard to say no to that. Get some draft picks, some cap space, a young player with potential if they have the right coaching/linemates, and we can move Wahlstrom to the 1st line. I think I'd do it but I wouldn't be happy losing Eberle.

Man you could even overpay someone like Hoffman or Hyman fora short term deal. Even Krejci, then move him to the Wing.

My concern is not replacing Eberle, it's losing him. You can always find another winger, but Eberle has been a very nice Islander and it would be a shame to lose him. Barzal has a major man-crush on him and has been his linemate most of his NHL career.

But losing his cap would obviously be helpful in other areas.

If your prefer, we could instead include Bailey and remove Eberle, but then u get a 2nd rounder and a third rounder, not two 2nds.
