so what is he gonna cost? thats a 1st, a legit d prospect, and a b level forward prospect that could really hit.

What would you trade Hyman for if he was still 25 today? Calgary has no reason to even consider trading Mangiapane for anything less than a major overpayment. He tied Barkov in 5v5 scoring this year and was ahead of the likes of Barzal, Ovechkin, Point, Pastrnak, Draisaitl, and Guentzel

I think this would be fair value for Hyman.

If he was a pending UFA sure but not if he had multiple years of control. Think about what Blake Coleman got and add to that

Coleman also had multiple years of control. Calgary is getting a 1st, a better prospect, and an extra prospect on top of that, who is also pretty good. this is a better package than the Coleman trade.

Coleman was not an RFA
Mang also has multiple years of control & is younger,
Why would Calgary do that? Lol

Coleman had term tho. The reason they would do it is because they are a bad team and need to rebuild.

Who do you think they’re rebuilding around?.. young players like Tkachuk & Mang.
Teams don’t rebuild by selling off their young valuable assets for late first rounders.
Also, Coleman got the equivalent of 2 first rounders with Foote being taking 27th overall plus the additional first.

In what world is Topi Niemela a better prospect than Nolan Foote? SDA is also pretty whatever, he has similar value to Joseph who you offered a 4th for.

how exactly are you coming up with these values lol. and in the world where Niemela is a legit A right shot dman prospect, which has more value than a guy who tops out as a 2nd line scorer.

Mang doesnt fit the timeline at all. by the time they are legit he's gonna be mid/late 30's. if they wanna be mediocre long term, sure. but i think the rangers have shown if you just go full rebuild, you can do it quick.

Regardless of their rebuild timeline, you’re off base with value, the trade has less value than Coleman’s, with Mang being and RFA & still not quite in his prime.
Values don’t match

LMAO you're delusional, if he was seen as an "A rank prospect" he wouldnt have gone in the 3rd round 9 months ago. Nolan went 27th OA less than a year before he was traded.
