Its gonna be alot harder in your division next season though. Boston Tampa Florida Toronto alot harder than the north was this year. Still the young guys get better its gonna be interesting. Caufield and Suzuki are alot of fun.

You probably won't have to give Seattle that 2nd if Drouin is healthy and wants to play. Instead, make the pick conditional, so that if he performs well, you won't be on the hook for a compensatory pick.

Danault's contract is probably about right. Armia is likely a bit too high, unless he goes on a tear in the playoffs. If you're bridging KK (which 2 years would be), you can get away with something between $2M to $2.5M.

When you look at the Habs record over the past few years, the problem has been they lose to the lousy teams. They also missed the playoffs in the previous years almost entirely on the backs of the backup goalies. (Those two things might be linked). Frankly, I'm getting a bit tired of the harping on the North Division. This is nothing more than an "eyeball test" — the Avs LOOK better than the Oilers. Until they're playing each other, you're comparing apples and oranges. When the league resets next year into its regular structure, I'll agree that Tampa is still likely to be a cut above the rest in the east. There's nothing to suggest Boston or Toronto are going to be any better next year than they were this year or last. Ottawa will improve as their players mature, but the Sens are still going to be inconsistent. Florida? The Panthers were supposed to be great this year and they disappointed. Buffalo? Please make the pain stop.

I agree the divisions make it hard to tell anything. its just its all we have to go on. You could argue that if Montreal was in the central or west you'd probably have more points than you did in the north. I think just the way the team is built they would have fit better there.

Contracts are on point, except Danault who could get closer to 6M AAV on the market. We are not letting him go, are we?!

I think we should probably not. We see the value in the playoffs. C is a really important position . He’s a keeper at the right price

1st time in 25 years + that we have elite offensive youngsters right of the bat.

Really refreshing .

He's an easy keeper up the 6M IMO.
