Look, I’m just gonna say it before you have to say it yourself
THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. I am a hawks fan and I consider DeBrincat to be untouchable. He was the best goalscorer on an American team this year and he played underrated defense and forechecking that I expect will be appreciated much more over the next many years. But I mean, wouldn’t this team be something if the Erie trio was brought back together in full?

hawks decline. Add Holloway and swap Savole for Rodrigue and it's at least close, but we still decline. You can trade for Strome but Cat is as untouchable as it gets

You could even put Dylan Strome on a line with McDavid, they were good friends in the OHL.

McDavid was never on a line with Strome. That top line McDavids final year was Remi Elie, Debrincat and McDavid

I think they would need to mortgage their whole future for Debrincat and Strome with the Neal cap dump. Broberg, Holloway and maybe even Bouchard. Those firsts would be hella late so just take the prospects who are more developed and better for our timeline.

Let me caveat this. I am in agreeable that this would never happen and not for it.
