Mackenzie Weegar gets screwed serious had the most even strength points of any defenseman and was a beast to play against I am no Florida panthers fan ,but Weegar deserves consideration seriously!

In my opinion, Nurse was one of the best this year. He was solid all around all year. Josi is of course one of the best too!

Well, the winner should be one of Fox, Makar or McAvoy. I'm optimistic one of Makar/Fox will win it over Hedman. Anyways, Hedman shouldn't be in the top5 this season.

Hedman and Makar picking up the most empty calory points in the league, and y'all wana remove McAvoy? Miss me with that...

Like they're still good, but not even close to what their point totals would imply. Everyone I'm about to list has better isolated metrics for both defense and offense.

Hamilton
McAvoy
Josi
Spurgeon
Theodore
Weegar
In almost any order, but Fox and Dougie probably at the top.

Chychrun is also good, but not really close to this level. Man is narrative powerful.

weeger was my 7. i watched tons of florida games this year. since everyone is complaining here is my full list. fox, hed,makar,mcav,chyc,theo,weegar, josi,nurse, pelech

nurse is either way better than makar. Nurse can play lots of minutes, has a really good shot and realible defensively

How do you ever justify Nurse? and I'm curious why the arguments we use for the MVP discussion don't apply to Hedman/Makar who are massively benefitting from their usage and roles on their teams.

He's defensively the worst out of anyone mentioned in this thread. Even considering a poor defensive Edmonton, they're 10% worse defensively with him on the ice.

Led defenseman in assists
Plays a lot of minutes really really well.
