Larsson's floor is probably $3.5/year. Most likely in around the 4x4 as Gmonwy mentioned. Calgary was way better on paper than they showed last season which is likely a team culture issue... you're probably moving in the wrong direction trading a guy like Tkachuk that can bring those intangibles for a pure skill guy like Nylander.

Ok thats fair. I guess Im offering the contract Larsson is worth, which is not more than 2 million. As for Tkachuk the Leafs could afford him at 9 but I think they could sign him for less. Nylander trade is sort of dangled as a hypothetical if the flames gm and ownership has some quarantine mental breakdown.
