You really think NYI is looking to move off Pelech for draft stock? Feel like they've in a pretty decent win window right now

My thought was that the Islanders might lose a top 4 D in the expansion draft and this would eliminate that possibility and get them some decent value for it.

May be wrong but I'm like 98% sure they can go 7-3-1 and keep Pelech, Pulock, and Leddy, only exposing one of Beauvillier or Bellows up front, but I hear you.

If this is something NYI would do, I would say yes in a heartbeat but I don’t think this would get it done. I don’t think they are worried about losing anyone significant in the expansion draft and if they were, they would probably make a trade with Seattle to move Bailey, Leddy or someone else with a larger cap hit
