I wouldn't say he's off limits but I doubt they would do that trade, And a 1st from the Avs wouldn't mean much considering it's a late round pick....I rather keep Toffoli unless the Habs were offered a deal they can't refuse

Sure that Landeskog is more valuable than Toffoli, but you should understand that Toffoli value is way much than your trade proposal. The difference between TT and GL isn't huge...

Career year does increase his value. So perhaps the timing is off. But I have seen him for years in LA and looking at the balance of what he has been which is a 3rd line role player. He isnt an elite talent. This trade treats him as such.

IF you had really been watching him for years as you claim you would realize that the guy has 5 out of 9 seasons with 20+ goals and 2 of those were 30+ goal seasons (including this season prorated). 20 goal scorers are more of a 2nd line winger than a 3rd. Also coming off a career year and the fact he was just signed to a great team friendly deal just increases his value. I don't know where you got anyone calling him an elite talent, I just said IF you think your going to get our leading scorer who finished 7th in the league for table scraps you can go pound salt. It would take something really special for Montreal to consider giving up that.
