Description

I'm swinging for the fences and making some sacrifices to get a great NHL ready LD in Byrem, move out Vlasic and Karlsson took some sacrifices in cash, pick swaps, picks etc., move on FINALLY from Martin Jones

Realistically we have problems at C and I'm placing a non C w/Seth Jarvis so there would for sure be more work to be done. Getting Larsson @ $5.5M might be steep given his lack of Offensive Production but it was too tempting not to stack the Right side along with Dougie Hamilton ... is $7.8M enough? I don't know

Avs wouldn't take that even if Byram and the Avs 1st was removed. Vlasic has enough negative value to offset the SJS 1st and then some

Even if you drop Jarvis and retain half of EK.. Carolina still reject this deal. Karlsson is a defender who's declined due to leg injuries, he's not suddenly going to get his mobility back.

Canes pass big time. Don’t want a declining EK especially when it costs our top prospect and another good bottom 6 piece that is cheap.

At that contract they’re also probably keeping Dougie since term is a big sticking factor and he’s looking for max there.

That avs trade is just bad. Vlasic Has negative value with his play and contract even retained, plus there is a thing called the salary cap and avs can’t take him on even for free

You think avs will trade byram for that? Not even close to realistic.
