Description
Keep everyone and see what a real coach can do. Salaries are not perfect but close enough. If Sam doesn't want to sign long term then sign for a year and maybe he changes his mind about playing in buffalo.

Grubauer: 6.5 is tops

The Avs match easily and Makar never signs that. They also easily pay Grubauer that, so...

Two big problems here:
1. Makar never signs that. You’re probably 3 million short for what negotiations would start at in Colorado, and 5 million short of what he might take to go to buffalo.
2. If for some reason his agent had a stroke and got him to sign that, it would be the easiest match ever for Colorado.

If you want to make this a serious offer sheet, maybe 7x14 gets the ball rolling.

so you offer sheet him to a deal that the avs would be over the moon for him to sign?

in no way does Makar sign that low, or signs in Buffalo..like in what world does he want to leave a cup contender for such a dysfunctional mess, or an offer sheet in general, or that the Avs dont match that within seconds

Confused on what your doing with Okposo here. Sabres will not buy him out - buying him out adds another year onto his contract that the Sabres have to pay him.

Not sure how Colorado signs all their guys. Even if they match, they have Saad, Landeskog, Grubauer, and Makar. They wont be able to sign them all. I know the numbers are on the low side but even if the sabres bump up the salary by 1 or 2 million, it will be hard for Colorado to match.

simple, they dont sign Saad, bc they never had room for him to begin with

And avs match any and every Makar OS....you cant steal him from the Avs and he doesnt sign one, if for some reason he ever did, he would never sign one like this especially to leave a cup team to a basement team

Doesn't really matter if Avs could match or not, highly unlikely Maker or any player with leverage wants to play for the Sabres. So Makar doesn't sign an offer sheet. Eichel wants out. And Reinhart isn't signing long term with Sabres

Dahlin and Makar would make a awesome backend for years to come. I would have to agree with everything said about the Sabres. It is a shame that this team is so poorly run.
