Rangers aren’t giving away Schneider for a 3rd and a downgrade at 2C.

If anyone know of the site that has realistic trade options not born out through hometown grandiosity please let me know. Thanks in advance. Cheers.

You'd have to remove Schneider for there to be a chance.

Strome has outplayed Monahan by a pretty decent margin these last 2 years. Plus you save $1.8M next year, before getting complete Cap savings after 21-22.

Rangers get another year of Monahan in the deal, but are taking more of the risk with him coming off surgery (which many Flames fans probably fear too, since Monahan is being moved in practically every Calgary ACGM post).

For that reason, Rangers may still even be wary of pulling the trigger. This at least evens things out more.

If you want both Eichel and Reinhart it would start with Tkachuk, Andersson and one of Mangiapane or Lindholm and two 1st round picks.

How do you feel about it now?

Ok but why? If they want to rebuild (again... poor Buffalo fans), why would they want to add these guys that are going to be likely past prime when they are competitive again?
Would it not make more sense to get the best prospects?

Whats the point of swapping first lines basically. Tkachuk is better than Reinhart I would argue (also younger). Eichel who needs neck surgery AND wants out of town nets a first line center Lindholm (who is less than half price which is important in this discussion), Andersson, and two firsts?

In your trade, you are basically asking for two premier first line players for spare parts and draft picks. If the flames are competitive, and they would likely be with the addition of those players, the first rounders going back to Buffalo would be low firsts.

Now... Is that worth it? To me, it isn't. Think outside the Flams box. Pretend you are the other team. Only then will you find proper perspective on a trade like this.

Can people stop trying to send Strome to Calgary? We saw the way he **** the bed in Edmonton, I'm not betting on him having success after the Rangers
