I'm assuming that Canes deal is a "to any team" type of deal because I don't want those players on the Canes, much less give up assets to get them.

It is but I think the value for each player is very fair (3rd for Kase and 5th for Senyshyn)

I love Goodrow but that's a steep overpay for a bottom 6 player.

That Goodrow contract is 2M more than I’d pay for a 4th liner

Why then have you built a worse team?

COL isn’t doing that. No need for Frederic and what are they doing with 2 more goalies neither of which is a starter and they have Francouz, Annunen, Hunter, and Miner under contract and have to make contract decisions on Grubauer, JoJo and Werner.

Why would they lose Graves to Seattle for nothing?

God this is a tired narrative. 1) they have to lose someone. 2) they aren’t going to compound losing somebody by making a bad trade that doesn’t help them 3) do you really think that is the best offer they would get for Graves, not even close
