I think they should be trading those assets for a big time center like Jack Eichel. But I think Vegas will make another huge move this offseason.

Glass definitely needs a change of scenery and maybe hits that potential in the trade. If I’m CBJ I really like Glass, Whitecloud, and Brisson, but forget Reaves and Holden and find something more enticing. I dunno CBJ is kinda over a barrel they have to do something and something fairly quick.

Is Glass really still an "A" prospect? We really kind of badly need significant upside, and right now he strikes me as more of a "well, at least he has a probably solid floor" type at the moment.

The core futures-based goal for Jones is one quality prospect (like, probable future NHL player who'd be a helpful contributor) and one blue-chip high-quality prospect (i.e. probable future replacement core player). Or equivalent picks likely to get us same.

This is scaled down from what the price for Jones was before the free agency announcement was made (a young, legit bona-fide current #1C).

Position is moderately helpful, but it's not so much of a determining factor that we'd skimp on the quaity requirements; it's more of a tiebreaker. The only exception to that is a "no goalies need apply" rule.
