Ideally it'd be Georgiev for Simek since NYR could use a defensive 3rd pairing LDman with a similar cap hit and SJ's loaded on the left side so they'd be wise to deal him.

I don't think DW will trade any of the 2021 picks, he did say he expects to have 10 picks in draft despite currently only owning 8, so wouldn't be surprised if there is some handshake deals made already just waiting things out with playoff teams

Defensive first guy, very physical -- he's definitely physically intimidating on the ice. Speed is average, isn't slow but isn't fast either. Played with Burns for a bunch of years. Can step up into the 4dman role but will really flourish on the bottom pairing. Sharks have a logjam at LD with 3 guys playing similar defensive roles to Simek in Ferraro, Kniazhov, Vlasic, and also Knyzhev likely able to step in soon so all those defensive LHdmen leave Simek as the odd man out.
