You're not getting anything actually valuable for DeAngelo and don't think there's a team that actually takes him off the rangers hands any time soon

Rangers won't get a 2nd for DeAngelo and the Habs have no reason to take that guy with locker room issues

Yeah. The Rangers would probably need add incentive to take him to a team that actually wants him.

Unfortunately the habs did try to get him at the deadline, but he refused to sign with them because he thought he could get more money if the Rangers bought him out and he signed elsewhere in the offseason.

Well hopefully they don't try for him again....Rather them trade for Butcher instead

Well I’m not sure we have the cap space for Butcher, and Chiarot has played well in the playoffs. Erik Gustafsson is probably our offensive 3rd pair D next year, and he’ll be a lot cheaper than everyone else.

I have long called bull on this report. Only Friedman reported it and the way it was laid out made no sense for the Habs to do it. Add that Rangers GM came out and said no team was close and I think it was more of a ploy by DeAngelos managment team to use Friedman in a way that benefited their client

Rangers are buying out De'Angelo and his cap hit is next to nothing so they won't pay anyone to take him off their hands. Georgiev is being protected.
