Subban is worse than Vanecek and Strome is worse than Kuznetsov. Murphy doesn’t really fill a need for us, either. I understand we get cap space in this trade as well, but I’d rather hold onto Kuznetsov. We do not need to trade him.

I don't think either team does the CHI WSH trade. Both teams values are well different of what the other party thinks. We don't rate Kuzy due to his off field issues and don't want to pay for a goalie. We also value Murph very high as he is our best defensemen. Strome is also a 50 point NHL player and we hold more value on him then what other teams may see.
