I don't want Simmonds back. He did literally nothing. Too slow to keep up. Too slow to lay out big hits. Didn't bring the physicality I expected.

Isn't this essentially the same team with a different top line 28 year old grinder making what Hyman would likely sign for to stay in Toronto?

What makes you think that anything would be different?

Losers that lose will likely continue losing.

He was amazing for us at the begining of the season he was good on the power play threw lots of hits but when he got inured he wasnt the same when he came back I think he deserves another chance.

I second that. I like the guy but, he literally got into three fights all year. One in the first game, one as retribution for the Hyman injury and one more. He was brutal 5v5 and that is where this team seems to want to make its mark.

I mean technilly yes but he won a cup and he came off a good playoff run with Colorado this year. Saad actually shows up in the playoffs unlike Marner and thats another thing the leafs need guys that step up in the playoffs.

Well... that attitude will fit right in with a management team that overvalues their own highly paid underachieving instagram models nicely.

So, why not trade Marner? (Please don't give me the shtik about how the organization said that they are not moving a "core piece"). If that is truly their stance, then they can get used to more of the same results.

Your welcome to keep Dermott, were keeping the 4th or using it for a more pressing need.

I was never gonna say anything about that the reason the leafs will trade Marner because of his cap hit especially with the cap staying flat for the next few years most teams can’t afford to have a cap hit like Marner’s.
