I don’t think the Jets need a LHD. But I think the value is right. A prospect, who is most likely gonna be a bottom or mid 6, and a 3rd round pick is probably about right. Give or take alittle.

He’s a whipping boy on here. But NHL GMs value young D-man, defensively responsible, never a minus in his career. Plus 39 in his career. That contribute offensively enough. With play-off experience.

I mean even see the J.Shultz contract, Ceci contract, Ian Cole trade, D.Savard trade, M.Rielly trade, Zaitsev trade and contract, J.Johnson contract. Average/bad D-men in the NHL are valuable and have trade value.

Fans like and want the flashy guys, instead of the defensively responsible guys that contribute to winning teams. That GMs definitely value. Guys that make few mistakes and still contribute offensively enough.

Same people on here that use Pettersson as a whipping boy are the same people that were clambering for their teams GM to take Gostisbhere, A.DeAngello and Mete. And literally no GMs would take them for free. But they think a 3rd and a Prospect is too much for Pettersson. Lol.

Too much from Winnipeg for players they don't really need in the Anaheim and Pittsburgh deals.
