I think the Dumba trade is reasonable, but I also think Wild would be asking a lot of Boqvist. He has speed, skill, plenty of upside offensively. But not sure he is 3C for a team looking at playoff run. I hope he is, but really only played his best hockey for last month or so of season.

McLeod would be better suited toward that role, but I don’t think I’d do that trade with him and the Isles 1st.

Why

Because Lindstrom likely makes the team out of camp and is a part of their future

Detroit have 4 very good defenders on RD, including Lindström. But there is nothing at all as backup. In Grand Rapids there is only the newly signed Seth Barton who is nowhere near being ready for a call-up to cover for any injury.

Lindström is simply needed in Detroit. If he were to be traded we'd be extremely vulnerable to injuries. Not to mention that Stecher is UFA after the season and might have to be traded at the deadline if he won't re-sign.

His numbers don’t pop out but he does an excellent job of moving the puck, has good puck control and hockey senses, plus he’s defensively responsible.

He’s also one of DET’s better defensive prospects and was drafted ahead of where he was projected in the 2nd round. For these reasonings and the fact that the picks offered don’t really move the needle, DET would decline.
