Leafs aren't giving up a top prospect for V. Rask. Not a chance. Robertson, Amirov, Sandin, and Liljegren go nowhere unless they're included in a bigger deal for a real impact player. They are too valuable to the Leafs while on their ELCs.

It’s just a scare tactic, the reason for the stalemate is mostly money.. he wants a shorter deal so he can cash in big the next one and the Wild want security

And the KHLs highest paid player makes 1.75 million annually

It’s Kevin weeks. He doesn’t just make stuff up. His agent when he played was also Karpizovs, for what its worth.

More like 2.5, and a big part of that is how horrible the exchange rate is. The bigger KHL teams have been known to offer more money than the NHL can to poach talent.

The conversation rate puts it at 2 million rn as the highest paid salary, but maybe they can get more bang for their buck in Russia

Still KK is set to make 4 times that with the deal on the table at least, unless he didn’t like his time with the Wild (which nothing indicated he didn’t) I can’t see him going back to Russia

As for the KHL poaching players, which one actually went over?

The “conversion,” rate gets it at 2.5.

The biggest example is jagr. Kovalchuk right behind him.

I also don’t think he’s going back to Russia either. I was just point out that your numbers and facts weren’t exact accurate.

Lilkegren isnt a top prospect anymore. Hate to burst your bubble (no i dont bc like all leafs fans youll continue to live in fantasyland) but hes not. You still might not want to do the trade and thats something else.

It's clearly a negotiating tactic. KK has had three agents in the last 4 years. It's going to be fine.

We won't be getting an 8 year deal, so it will probably be 4 years to get us to the Parise/Suter window. That's best for everyone, because the Wild will be willing to pay him more than anyone else and 4 years gives us the cap space to do it.

He’s not going to the khl. He’s over there for a wedding. The Cska team wants him, but so does every team.
