Idk about insanely bad, but Lee is a really bad deal. Nelson and Bailey aren't much better.

anders lee and brock nelson are overpaid and will only age worse, thomas hickey exists, not to mention his love for Matt Martin. Not in New York but he also signed the Zaitsev deal. it's not far fetched to think he won't sign another

Lee was on pace for 37 goals this season. Nelson is good for 25+ Goals a year and he currently has 20 goals 34 points in his last 47 playoff games - he’s just as important to the isles as barzal.

lee is overpaid, but he had a 1st line impact the last 2 seasons - Brock Nelson is not overpaid.

Hickey wasn't a bad contract at the time, injuries ruined his career. He's still a good player and Martin is a bad contract because of the term but it's nothing that will cripple the team.

I think 4.5 - 5 is right for Nelson. He had 0.6 PPG this year and it was a good year for him and it's not like he's gonna grow into the deal either. His last playoff kinda warrants it, but I wouldn't want the contract on my team

Just wait til you actually have to start paying people (Pulock/Pelech/Barzal/etc). Those are really bad deals. Each one is heavily overpaid.

Nelson is one of the better 2Cs in the league. He drives play offensively and he’s great on the powerplay. The last two years his market value for what he provides is around 6-6.25 mill. He is projected to provide 2C value for the remainder of his contract.

I wouldn't even say they're heavily overpaid yet, but it's gonna be touugh when you gotta pay Barzal 9+, Pelech 4+, and then Pulock 6.5+
