A Simple Sabres Rebuild

Created by: P1zzaPolarBear

Initial Creation Date: Jun. 23, 2021

Description
Wow, another Sabres rebuild. How Original, I know. Anyway, here's another rebuild of the Sabres, with a variety of Trades and Free agency signings, and I know some of these might be far fetched, but it's just for fun, so if you have any comments or questions let me know. Also, this team is also made with the assumption that Power will not return to University, and that he will join the Sabres right away.

Anaheim very much declines. Even if there was an extension involved, moving what is 99% guaranteed to be a mid-high lotto pick in that draft would be attrociously dumb.

That's fair. Probably could have done this with a contending team, maybe Vegas even, but maybe not with the Ducks.

Yeah, I think you can do a ok prospect or young roster player and a late 1st for 1 year of Reinhart, it's just gotta be a playoff contender.

I would imagine Philly says yes and runs out the door before you can say hold up lol.

Personally I'd raid their prospects pool a little on this deal and remove on of the roster players.

Tage is definitely not on the level of Kailer, but he's decent. That 2022 2nd though? That's going to be a seriously deep draft. The 2021 draft stinks, but man, that 2022 is going to be killer, so an early 2nd rounder? It's Buffalo so it's basically a super late 1st rounder lol

Though so, I knew I should have just gotten another Left Defencemen.
