Where I thought Kane was going

Created by: JacobLyons
Team: 2021-22 San Jose Sharks
Initial Creation Date: Jun. 24, 2021

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Side note, Doug Wilson was huge on JVR. The point of the deal is getting rid of a long term deal while receiving a better draft pick. I think Philly is one piece away from making the playoffs and Kane would help A LOT. JVR comes to San Jose to make the money work, while getting a great draft pick, Philly would gain a 2nd to make the deal work, especially with how weird the draft is, San Jose gets as many darts on the board as possible.

Just kinda more than boring tho with Khudobin quite old and not overly good and Donato an underrated scorer and entering his cost controlled prime

I get excited about these things as it's not great

Donato has a career pts/60 around 2 which is superb

13th overall pick to help jump start the rebuild, and a roster player if you want to remain competitive in some fashion.

Think we can get first without having to take back his entire salary.

Yeah I get it, just think you could get more for Kane. A declining expensive cap hit and a trade to move up 20ish picks in a weak draft seems a bit light to me.

The 2nd round pick would be for 2022, so Philadelphia would getting something for the year after if they miss the playoffs again which I doubt with Kane in the lineup.
