I think the idea of Anaheim trading away picks is kind of foolish right now.
-That Nuge contract will be very, very regrettable in a couple of years. He's not a 1C, and I get the idea that he eases Zegras into the role, but with the team out of it for at least the next year or two, I don't see the point in making that kind of add right now.
-Not really much point paying to get rid of Rico. Available players will likely be him, Heinen, Shatty, maybe Manson (Hopefully they protect Fleury over him, or even go 4-4-1...). Going to lose someone, and we already d1cked up the Vegas draft. Keeping/Losing Rico is fine either way. If you lose him, you gain the cap space. If you keep him, you've got a decent veteran C to eat tough minutes when Getzy inevitably retires.
-That Hampus trade seems a bit light. I wouldn't be happy with Brown and a conditional 2nd in the first place, let alone taking the Dadonov contract.
-I'd take the Rakell deal, but Edmonton declines.
-Not a lot of point in giving up a 3rd, plus Terry for a bottom pairing Dman who can play up a little bit, and a 4C. Just keep Terry and the pick.
-I'd be alright with that Jones trade, but I think Buffalo is in the same boat...no point moving picks just to move 'em.
Cheers!
