Not available. Rumors of him wanting out were debunked the other day. Only interested in a true 1c for him

If CGY trades Tkachuk, theyre indicating a full rebuild.

Id be asking for Robertson, Liljegren +

Dude, stop with the true 1C. You're not getting that for Tkachuk unless it's a first / second year player with 1C potential in a package. Tkachuk is a very good player, but c'mon already. And your team has multiple holes to fill.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure I would do this if I was CAL, cause they won't be able to afford Rielly after this year. And I wouldn't do it if I'm the Leafs cause Tkachuk will be looking for long term 8+ (which we can't afford) and we need our first in 2022 for another deadline acquisition next year.

And everyone is available.

The leafs need someone to push them over the hedge. Spezza has resigned with the leafs so they just need that extra push. Tkachuk can replace Hyman score greasy goals and deliver lots of hits and get in the other team’s head.

I totally agree that the Leafs need someone like Tkachuk. But Marner is the better player

True. Dubas will not trade Marner. But he should play with Tavares the first line should be Tkachuk-Matthews-Nylander. That could have both. Trading Riley and Kerfoot to free up the space for Tkachuk and if Calgary also wanted Robertson or Liljegren someone like that could also be shipped to Cal no prob.

Would cost more than Rielly and Kerfoot. CAL will definitely want an impact player in return that's long term.

Also, the Tkachuk, Matthews, Nylander line won't work. All three like to shoot the puck way too much. Nylander is the only above average passer, and both Matthews and MT need a set up guy.

When matthews and my lander broke into the nhl they were on the same line and were just as good as marker and matthews. In the playoffs matthews needs someone to get him going. Nylander is a playoff performer. When Tavares first came to Toronto he played with marner and had a career year, he needs marner and marner will need him in the playoffs. Tkachuk can get rebounds from nylander and matthews and get deflection goals from the point. He doesn’t need a set up man. He just needs someone to shoot so he can get rebounds and deflections . Also he can screen the goalie for matthews and nylander and the D.

You might be right, and honestly, I don't care what happens in the regular season, as long as they can perform in the playoffs. And that line would probably be comparable to Marchand / Bergeron / Pasternak. Marner def brings the best out in whoever he plays with, and Tavares def misses him.

Flames decline the only player on the leafs that the flames would trade tkachuk for would be matthews which the leafs would never do. There isn’t a trade that works between calgary and Toronto that involves tkachuk
