- G on a big long deal who hasn't been good lately

- good winger but only a bit of term and near 30

- late 1st rounder more likely good than great

- 3rd OA in a weak draft with a fairly clear top 2

Not to say it's not valid conceptually

But for a likely Hall of Famer ... 😕

I don't like that you are trading for older pieces. This team will finish in the bottom 5 in the league and half our return for eichel and Reinhart get older and/or out the door

Agreed. I also think that if Anaheim is trading for Eichel, moving their starting goaltender is a poor strategy.
