Too much term and money for Hyman, not enough for Granlund. Would rather just have Brooks take the 4C spot over Staal.

Granlund, Staal and Leivo > Soup, Engvall, Kerfoot and Thornton. Sandin > Dermott. Gagner adds good depth and $1M+ to play around with

Hyman gets more money in FA with less term. Still have $1M roughly to give Granlund. Not sure Brooks can be your full-time 4C.

Dubas and Co. seem to be ready to roll with Campbell, not sure there's a better backup available than Bernier atm.

imo Hyman isn't big enough come playoff time to take on top d-pairings. In the last 2 playoffs. 12 games 2 goals 2 assists.

Term is a bad thing, I'd give Hyman $6M if it was only 3 years. He's already 29 with a few major injuries and plays a really grindy style, don't want him on a 6 year deal
