Detroit already have two goalies and Maksimov isn't good enough.

DDK is needed for one more year, Detroit would have to get 3 totally new LD otherwise and that's not good for team cohesion.

Fair but you’re assuming JB resigns and I have him signing here in mine. You are right if JB resigns in Detroit then pointless.
Koskinen gets a real **** rep from oilers fans. He’s a fine platoon goalie who can get hot and steal games, but wears out and need practice time with coaches to work on his struggles. Mostly just shuffling deck chairs in the titanic for both teams XD

The only reason Bernier isn't signed already is the expansion draft. By leaving Bernier an UFA until after the draft it makes it impossible for Seattle to take him. All Bernier will have to do us to say no to Seattle and turn around and sign with Detroit.
