Oilers decline the OEL deal, even with retain salary his contract is a nightmare, but the even bigger issue what do you do with Broberg, after signing Nurse to a extension Broberg’s going to be your 3rd pair D for the next 5-6 yrs when when in as little as 2 yrs he’ll surpass OEL in every aspect of the game

The oilers need to steer clear of OEL

Wings have Griess and presumably signing Bernier.

We do not want a goalie who has a large payroll and was beat out by a 38 year goalie in the playofffs.

Yes we have cap space, yes we need a goalie. We are NOT GIVING UP CAP SPACE FOR NOTHING AND WE WANT BETTER GOALTENDING.

You missed the whole point Broberg will surpass OEL in every aspect of the game your comfortable having a guy making 5.75 being your third pair D for 4 yrs,
In 23/24 the oilers left side looks like this Nurse, Broberg, Samorukov
Broberg is Klefboms replacement what the Oilers need is a stop gap D on a two yr deal allowing Broberg to grow into that position
