I'm curious to know why you (and most Flyers fans I've talked to) are so high on Mason? Varlamov has better career numbers and has been a Vezina finalist. I'm not a Philly fan, but I think I would take that trade.

Mason was once a Calder winner with Vezina type numbers. Its a what have you done for me lately methodology and Varlamov hasn't done much lately. Take out his 13-14 season and he hasn't done all that much.

I'd pass on Varmy until you at least see how he looks after he recovers from injury.

Wild trade is meh, half his salary would need to be retained for it to work capwise for the Wild. Even then not sure it would work. Projected ~2.1m deadline cap space, they can gain a little more by sending ELC players down to Iowa.

Iginla is a pending UFA so Colorado could eat all of that contract, no problem

NHL teams can eat 50% max of salary remaining...
