If Rask is MIA in the playoffs for some reason next year, then good luck to you.

Holtby's stats are the way they are mostly because he's playing for Vancouver instead of Washington.

Thanks for spinning them to fit your narrative.

If there is a rumor that circulates, I sometimes make a post on it, even if most people think it's a bad idea.

The Bruins are no exception to this.

Also, that's not what this post is about.

If he has not been a viable NHL goalie since 2016, Washington doesn't win the Stanley Cup in 2018.

      It's that simple.

In that season he was 60th in sv%, 57th in GAA and 58th in GSAA and was benched in the playoffs at one point for Grubbauer.

He picked it up in the playoffs. But those are bad numbers for a backup. Id say they won in spite of him.

Sometimes, whenever a rumour circulates, I indiscriminately make a post about it.

Regardless if It's a good or bad idea.

      1. Gotta think Arizona needs to trade OEL somewhere sooner or later.

      2. If you don't like the Barrie signing, you probably didn't like the Loui Eriksson signing either. Never underestimate Jim Benning.

      3. As for Holtby, I'm just going off of a rumor that's been circulating. Trade is based on the Keith Kinkaid/Devyn Dubnyk trades, only Holtby has won a Cup as a #1 goaltender before.

Regarding Benning and Barrie. I've said for a few years, the Canucks should lock Benning away when UFA signing period starts. He's been horrific in his signings. Non playoff teams shouldn't have the cap issues that the Canucks have.

Canucks can't trade Holtby because they need a goalie to expose in the Seattle.

I don't believe Seattle would take him and trading Holtby would happen after the expansion draft, of course.

The trades in my post would happen in chronological order.

So, that means the Kerfoot trade happens first and the Holtby trade happens last.

LOL I'd take my chances on Swayman who played lights out this year vs Holtby

I mean I gave a 3yr look, but lets look at it season by season shall we....

Holtby Team SV% GAA GSAA HDSV% HDGAA HDGSAA
      '20-'21 VAN 0.889 3.67 -12.95 0.751 2.33 -11.55
      '19-'20 WSH 0.897 3.11 -16.81 0.780 1.82 -12.37
      '18-'19 WSH 0.911 2.82 1.87 0.824 1.69 2.53

^Took me all of 5 minutes to put that together. He was awful the year before going to Vancouver so don't use the excuse that he's been bad because it wasn't WSH.

In his best year over the last 3 years he was barley and average goalie and over the last two years he's been flat out awful. I'm not spinning anything, I'm actually using evidence to support what I say. You seem to be just making a lot of assumptions.

A legitimate rumor, sure.....but this rumor comes from a few guys on a podcast that cover Vancouver lol. Its like people in Boston using HACKerty or Jimmy thin skin as a source of a rumor. There a better chance of hitting the lotto than those clowns having a legit rumor. Until one of the bigger guys starts throwing it out there, its just throwing **** against the wall for entertainment purposes.

In other words, you prefer Seattle taking Kerfoot in the expansion draft while the Leafs get nothing.
