That doesn't even come close to getting you Miller let alone Schmidt too

I would have to think Buffalo would say no. Shea weber’s contract is a noose to hang your salary cap with, he’s not worth half that much anymore. The picks are all low, and of all the top prospects in your entire organization Guhle is probably the one buffalo would need the least.

With Benning as a GM and the 2 most important players to sign, anything is possible.

I think cap is almost impossible to move right now so like with Arvidsson, we will see some good players going for very little just so teams can get out from the deals.

Buf wont be competing before Weber retires so that wont matter. I also don't think they will get a better main piece than KK and the extra value is just there to force it through.

I know some fans on here think Eichel will get the moon but I think BUF's FO is wildly incompetent and whatever they actually end up getting, while being good, wont be better than that.

Even if you’re right that doesn’t change the fact that Buffalo is already loaded with defensive prospects and does not need another one, especially if they are drafting Owen Power. Correct me if I’m wrong but Weber also has no trade clause, I would expect he would use it. But if by some miracle you convinced him to come here you would need to add a prospect of value that buffalo actually needed, especially if they are eating that money for you. And no, Poehling isn’t going to get it done.

Tbh, respectuflly, fam Buffalo sucks hot ass. There isn't a single position that they couldnt use.

According to CF Weber has no trade protection and cap space will be a non issue for Buf as they will be rebuilding for multiple years as they are starting from ground 0

Ah yes the classic use Benning as an excuse to make a sh*tty trade. Nashville had to move Arvidsson because of the expansion draft, the Canucks aren't in the same situation and if you had half a brain you'd be able to figure that out

Its a classic because its true haha. Also NSH didn't have ED issues because they don't have any good forwards they would have lost that Arvidsson.

Van problem is they dont have enough cap space to sign their 2 most important players and the team is so bad they are going to have guys who want out.

We already know they are trying to dump Schmidt which will be near impossible, this does this.

Its always the people who have no idea what they are talking about that are the rude ones smh

If you really believe that Buffalo has no organizational depth anywhere then you really just don’t know about the organization in general outside of what they’ve done on the ice in the last handful of years. Botterill did nothing except draft and trade for defensemen. Young defensemen may be the one thing Buffalo has too many of. While they cannot pass on Owen Power they certainly do not need to be looking to another organization for yet another high defensive prospect in exchange for the franchise center that they will need to replace. Kotkaniemi is a nice player, but he doesn’t really even begin to fill the hole Jack Eichel leaves behind.

I would say the org has a total of 8 good players

2 of them will be traded

2 of them are UFA

Their prospect pool is terrible. I would say if anything its WORSE than people believe. They certainly aren't as bad as they were this year but it is going to take them 5 years to rebuild back to a good team and thats IF they don't **** it up which is more likely than not.

I'm not here to kick a dead horse or fans when they are down but it is VERY bad.

Also nothing will fill Eichels hole. That isn't going to happen, its about what is the best return they can get.

Not kicking an the organization and its fans while they’re down? That sounds like all you’re doing by saying they have nothing in their prospect system. Being that dismissive just means I don’t have to take anything you say seriously.

I'm being honest in my assessment. How you value that is up to you.
