Frankly, I have no idea what would get it done or even if they really want to deal him. It would probably need to be somehting they can't pass up, and I'd think a hockey trade situation would get further than a pure futures offer. This is a very tricky one. Personally, I'd prefer to hold onto him and let him a proper preseason/practice schedule in. More than anything, he needs to get his timing and touch back. Physically, he seems fine to me.

Oh, are we pretending that he wasn't just back from a layoff with no preseason and a condensed schedule with barely any practice time? If he puts up 14 points in 24 games in that scenario, what do you think might happen if he has a regular preseason and regular practice schedule?

Besides, it always amuses me when guys want to trade for a player on here and then spend all their energy slagging him off. If he's so worthless, why would you want him?

They can get more than an inconsistent middle 6 at best, a bottom 6 player and a cap dump who doesn't provide anything of value.

because he could use a group with better leaders coaches and environment he needs a change in scenery

Yeah, such a poisonous environment... that he loves dearly, and not just because they won the Cup two seasons back and were leading the West on a tear last season before COVID hit.
